Wow Paul....we remember those days!   The commercial ab fisherman off of Santa Barbara could bring in all the abs they wanted to.   When the abs ran out, they went to commercial sea urchins for a living.
 
Hmmmmm what I would do for an abalone steak right now.
That is the best meat ever.

We ate abalone once a week from 1963 - 1976.   We will never forget those days.
