I think Peter Welbrock makes the more valid point that it is time to take the Tech Support Q&A _page_ out of SAS Communications entirely. It probably just confuses the intended readers of Comm. (whomever they are).

Observations has been a great source for _real_ coding projects. The online version, though not quite as palatable as a hard-copy, serves its purpose. SAS must continue to support Observations to the best of their ability in whatever format.

I can not give enough kudos on the "Journaling with SCL" series of articles by Cathy Brinsfield and Jennifer Boyle. Those served as the building blocks for solid solutions to data management needs in more than one environment for me. As recently as two weeks ago I needed to build a Dual Data Entry system, and sure enough, out came the articles.

For new SAS programmers, Observations is a great place to pick up ideas.

That is (hopefully not just "a waste of bandwidth") my $0.02 worth.

Raymond
