I'm not sure I understand? What do you mean by "vacation" and "precedence?"

With the holidays approaching, and work schedules moving about, I want to
remind subscribers that if your "out of office" message goes to either
SAS-L or to persons who post to SAS-L, I will delete your subscription at
once.
Please note that "vacation" looks for a header called "Precedence:". This
is not an RFC-822 header and Listserv is rather ruthlessly
RFC-822-compliant. Contact your mail administrator for assistance in
correctly configuring your responder.
That unpleasantness aside, I wish all the readership a happy and safe
holiday season.
