The sender of the unsigned attachment about which I warned you all has now
identified himself and there is no problem. He apologised for sending an
unidentifiable mail with an attachment (he was using his new home address,
not his institutional one which I would have recognised) and we can all
breath easy again.
On the subject of large, odd people : has anyone any information about a
French Oliva specialist (an Oliva specialist from France, not a specialist
in French olives) called Marc, who travels the world looking at Oliva
collections? An enormous bloke who speaks almost no English. Met him once
in the Smithsonian some years ago; seemed nice enough, but no-one I know
had or has ever heard of him.
