SAS Access to Oracle is needed. SAS Access to ODBC may also work, if you also have an Oracle ODBC driver. Note that the 'SAS ODBC driver' is different from 'SAS Access to ODBC'; SAS ODBC driver allows other applications to read SAS datasets, not SAS to read other apps via ODBC.

You will generally get better performance with the SAS Access to Oracle (and maybe more features), but the SAS Access to ODBC allows more types of databases.
