The Albany NY SAS Users Group (ANYSUG) will meet on Friday, October
29 at 9AM. The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Wadsworth
Center of the NYS Department of Health, located at Empire State Plaza.
Our guest speaker will be Robert Ray, Software Manager of the Base
Information Technology Department at the SAS Institute. Robert will
give three presentations on features of the latest version of the SAS
9:10 Enhancements to Base SAS: An overview of the most significant
enhancements of V7 and V8 including SAS File I/O, ODS, DATA Step, SQL
and other Base Procedures.
10:10 New Features for SUMMARY & TABULATE: Detailed look at the new
classification and analysis features for V7 and V8 PROCs SUMMARY and
TABULATE including format preloading, multi-label formats, classdata
data sets, quantile statistics and TopN output.
11:10 Getting Stylish with TABULATE and REPORT: An overview of using
ODS styles with PROCs TABULATE & REPORT to generate web-ready reports.
In addition to presentations, you will have the opportunity to win books
donated by the SAS Institute and to order books from the Institute at a

Directions to the Wadsworth Auditorium are as follows.... Once at the
Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany, go to the concourse level and
head for the Corning Tower. After checking in with security, walk past
all three elevator bays and continue toward the door located in the rear
wall (entrance to the Wadsworth Center). In the Center, take a left
behind the security desk and the auditorium is located on the left, just
past the glass doors.
