Subject: mixed model with small sample size in Proc Mix
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Dear Sas-users:

I have a question regarding mixed models with small sample size in Proc Mix in ASA. I learned that if the sample size is small, we need to use the adjusted asymptotic Wald-type chi-square tests constructed from ML or REML estimates under different type of variance-covariance structures. Do you think the Proc Mix used that when the sample size is small?

Any comment or suggestions will be helpful. Thank you.

Chung
