This is a SAS data set, so I cannot use SYNCSORT... But thanks for the JCL.
I will save it and
    use it in another example.
    Following your earlier suggestion, I have saved my file on tape; and
now I will try to
   sort it . This way I will need less DASD space, because I will not need
temporary files..
