Hi Frank, I have browsed the wonderful replies as well.... I should like to mention that if this is for development, go to the comercial souce where you have your hard copy, in the back is an order form for a flat file list as well as the cpt4 hcpcs lists. As a fellow health care economist, I found this to be helpful. In relation to SAS I removed the "." as most of my data is decimal removed; especially data that has been run through the Symmetry ETG grouper and comming from MCOs. Hope this helps. Aly
