Subject: spline fitting criterion
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Dear SAS-L,

I need to fit a smoothing spline to some points in R^2 (e.g. using SAS/INSIGHT). Is there a way to print the criterion used for fitting the spline (criterion = mean residual sum of squares + smoothing paremeter x integrated squared second derivative)?

Thanks for any help!

U. Daubmann
