Subject: stange problem to import execl file to sas file
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
Hi, there:
I faced some problem when I tried to import excel file to sas file. Please
patiently read through the problem and provide your valuabe advice. Thanks
in advance.
Suppose I have following excel file 'Myfile'(WITH FOLLOWING FORMAT):
A B C E F G
011999 021999
STACKNO BOOKID STACKNO BOOKID
Q2/7 - 297.02 11A01123 Q2/7 - 531.76 12-36GQ14185
Q2/7 - 297.06 11-21AB4321 Q2/7 - 531.05 11FC78091
Q2/7 - 297.54 07BD11111 Q2/7 - 601.63 11-53T55360
Q2/7 - 297.79 14J05610 Q2/7 - 689.08 31GQ06172
Q2/7 - 297.41 11C02775 Q2/7 - 689.10 31-42K97391
Q2/7 - 494.44 21Q10551 Q2/7 - 689.33 11-40LC06648
Q2/7 - 494.52 10-97C31598
Q2/7 - 494.53 11-08BB03317
Q2/7 - 494.08 07-00CL08362
Q2/7 - 494.10 04-98CL01186
Above, A,B,C,E,F,G are the colum title in excel. So in the above file, value
'011999' ocupied merged cell a1,b1,c1 and '021999'ocupied merged cell
e1,f1,g1; left 'stackno' ocupied merged cell a2,b2, right 'stackno'ocupied
merged cell e2,f2. When I used import facilities of SAS 6.12, it failed.
Later, I cut the values of Feb, 1999(021999) into another file. Then I tried
to import, still failed. So I really hope you all can give your experience
and valuable advice. Thanks again.
Jing
