Subject: SASTCPD on Solaris

Has anyone had practical experience of using the sastcpd spawner program on Solaris?.

My particular problem is the need to have the daemon running as root which many represent a security risk in a secure environment. Is there some way of getting the daemon to run in an unpriviliged account and still perform its tasks adequately. I need to solve this so that I can use it across firewalls.

Regards Richard
