I didn't know that they would/could forcast backwards.
Claritas is *the* shop now that they bought Strategic Mapping (they who made
Atlas Map) back in early 1996. They then sold the "mapping" part of the
business to ESRI (they of Arc View).
Note: the *data* part of Stategic Mapping was the old Donnelley Demographics
data that Strategic had bough a few years prior. In the "old days" Urban
Decision Systems and Donnelley were the only game in town.
I, however, find the Claritas pricing a bit severe. I've found that a company
down in Thousand Oaks, CA, whose data is just as tight (they work intimately
with the Big Three Credit Bureaus - who in turn usd this company's demographic
files).
It's called:
Applied Geographic Solutions, Inc.
3025 Sunflower Street
Thousand Oaks, California 91360
805.492.4765
http:/www.appliedgeographic.com
I also get my Zip code boundary files from a New Hampshire company called:
GDT (Geographic Data Technology). They also sell a high end product called
Dynamap which is the mosr robusr street level body od data I've seen. With this
database, you can geo-code just about anything.
