for the real scoop! Just in case you were soooo trusting and decided to
open this executable, this site will tell you just how to squash that
bugger once and for all. But too bad about your ms-word, powerpoint, excel,
etc docs. If you didn't back them up, you're up the creek.
I received the zip*.exe file from someone who's on a list that i belong to.
I spoke with her on the phone and told her that I NEVER open unsolicited
attachments -- not even from my best friend. I sympathized with her as she
was audibly upset because she lost some very important documents. All I
could do was offer my condolences and tell her how to fix the problem. I
also told her that she should always practice safe computing. Just say NOT
TO VIRII, TROJANS, and WORMS!
