Spencer, I would prefer to believe many people voted in favor of the ideal certification program, and current responses reflect the particular certification program SI is preparing. A certificate which accurately reports abilities and skills would be a good thing--at least, for the good programmers. Folks probably also did not consider paying for it when they voted.
