Subject: Proc cport and cimport
Content-type: text/plain

I am using SAS 612 on Solaris to create a tranfile using proc cport. Then I use proc cimport to import the tranfile back into SAS, and it works fine. My client is using the windows version SAS 612. He uses ftp in binary mode to download the file, and read into SAS. He gets an error message 'Given transport file is damaged (obs data is damaged)'

Any suggestions on whats going on?

Shukla
