As I remember the line-ups: Round 1: Europe defeated the US Regional User Groups team and the Books By Authors team defeated the SUGI Executive Committee. Round 2: Europe defeated the Books by Authors.

Thus, Europe defeated 2 teams and the Books by Authors (including Ray Pass) defeated 1 team.

Hello everyone,

Maybe I'm missing something here, but, is Ray saying that Phil's team won three times while Ray's team won twice (one less) and that means that Phil's team didn't beat Ray's team??? Where I come from 3 goals/points or whatever is always better than 2.

By the way, one up for Europe!!

(Don't mind my e-mail address, it may be American but I'm truly European (Irish)).

Regards

Barry

Very technically speaking Phil, you only managed to beat 2 teams from the USA. One of the teams you beat, ahem - the one I was on, was also victorious, in fact only one time less than you were. You see, it's all a matter of "spin". Nevertheless, you did emerge victorious, and deserve congratulations (Barrett always emerges on top no matter who wins, but does deserve a hearing aide.)

As they used to say where I was born, "Just wait till next year!"

Victorious in defeat,

Ray
