Well, I wasn't going to spend any more space on this, but it's getting to be so much fun! Clint, were you in the same room as the rest of us :-)

At 12:59 PM 4/16/99 -0400, Clint Rickards wrote: >As I remember the line-ups: > Round 1: Europe defeated the US Regional User Groups team and the Books By >Authors team defeated the SUGI Executive Committee. > Round 2: Europe defeated the Books by Authors. > >Thus, Europe defeated 2 teams and the Books by Authors (including Ray Pass) >defeated 1 team.

Round 1: RESUG (including RP) beats BBU Round 2: Euro beats SUGI Round 3: Euro beats RESUG for the Championship

Also, I have to amplify on Peter's not-to-be-forgotten remembrance. As he stated, beers were kindly delivered to the Euros while they were seated ready to face RESUG in the final round. After a minute or so, Tony gently complained in a wonderfully mild stiff-upper-lip fashion that although the refreshments were certainly welcome, they would have been so much more welcome if a means of opening the bottles were also delivered. At that point Nancy leapt to his aid, and to the stage, took the bottle of beer from him, and expertly twisted off the twist-off bottle top! The Euros won the Bowl, but Nancy won the moment!
