Khamis,
If you get too many individual messages in your mailbox from this list,
you might want to try subscribing to this list in digest form. Send the
command below to the listserv you use, such as LISTSERV@UGA.CC.UGA.EDU
set sas-l digest
Or you can read the postings on the newsgroup comp.soft-sys.sas

Subject: Protocol
Hello all,
I am on the SAS-L list for some time now. When I first joined the list,
I
was frustrated with amount of e-mail in my inbox. I thought of
unsuscribing
from the list at first. But since some of the subjects discussed are
excellent ideas and hints that I need, I thought of putting some rules
in my
mail box to filter out emails that I think are not interesting to me.
The
problem I am faced with is: on what basis my rule should be setup so
that I
can filter out these un-wanted emails? I thought of one way that might
be
helpful. Any one sending an email to list, he can put in the subject
line
the key words he used in his question or answer. Some key words are:
BASE: Base SAS
SCL: Screen Control Language
IML: Intractive Matrix Language
etc.
I will appreciate any ideas that might help me to filter out the
undesired
emails.
Thanks
