Oddity lovers: We have heard of a number of shell malformations. Yesterday when scanning my Cook Island shells, I ran into a first for myself. I saw in one photo of a Conus ebraeus, a widened, fuzzy tentacle and eye. On two later photos of the same animal, I saw clearly that there were two eyes and two tentacles on the right side tentacle pedestal while the left side tentacle pedestal and tentacle was normal.

Anyone else seen molluscan animal freaks? Naturally it will be part of an article I was doing for the May Internet HSN on Eyes and Tentacles. -- Aloha from Wesley M.
