Subject: SAS 7.0 preliminary comments
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
I'm testing out SAS version 7.0 running on OS/2 4.0 with fixpack 8.
I have two preliminary comments.
First, I seem to remember seeing a new feature in 7.0 at the last SUGI where
the editor automatically changed the color of text when you forgot
to close a parenthesis. If this is a feature in SAS 7.0, can someone
tell me how to enable it?
Second, when I wish to replace text by going under edit and then
hitting replace, the window always seems to come up over the top
of the area in the edit window that I would like to be looking
at to help me make the replacement I want. In 6.12 this also
occured, but it was no problem since I could simply move the
dialogue box and look at the text hiddent below. In version 7,
however, when I move the dialogue box, the text under it in the
edit window is blanked out. I can't refresh it without closing the
replace dialogue. Is there something I'm missing here?
As always, any help appreciated.
