use the  "set sas-l options" to the LISTSERV you subscribed to where
subscription options are:
 
 
NOMAIL         You have temporarily turned off your subscription and will
               not receive any mail from the list
FULLHDR        Full (normal) mail headers (formerly "FULLBSMTP")
NOREPRO        You do not receive a copy of your own postings
NOACK          No acknowledgment of successfully processed postings
