Dear all, anyone who's new need advice on how to preserve a moon snail sand collar? I have a method, and I am dying to share it.

Here it is:

Take 5 average spoonfuls of Elmers glue, and 15 average spoonfuls of water.

Mix together. Make sure you get a watery, but not translucent, mixture. If you get a thick mixture, add more water.

Put sand collar into mixture and let sit for 1 hour.

Remove sand collar from mixture.

Put sand collar on paper towel to dry in the sun, moving it occasionally to prevent sticking.

Let dry for about 2 hours, then display!

This method worked great for me!

Kind Regards James ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Get completely free e-mail from Juno at http://www.juno.com/getjuno.html or call Juno at (800) 654-JUNO [654-5866]
