Subject: Re: arrays and matrices in Proc Reg

Dear All,

I want to use Proc Reg to run a regression of Y on X,,Z, and W where X,Z and W are matrices of variables and observations. For instance, you may envisage this as X_ij where i refers to teh observation (= the row in the data) whilst j stands for one variable sin the group of the Xs. Similar reasoning of course applies to Z and W.

With this information in mind, I am wondering how I would present that with SAS codes. For instance, could I use ARRAYS in SAS and then enter them in the regression analysis (Proc Reg), or is there any other way of doing so. If the latter is true may I have your comments on how to do it, please?

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to consider my request. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely Panos Papanikolaou UWCM Cardiff, Wales
