GABO

23 Sandhills just flew over the house and we spent about 15 minutes watching them circle to gain height. This occurred at 5:00pm. Yesterday the same thing happened at about 3:00.

Arrowhead:

nice group of 30-40 ring-necks and scaups. Most of the group flew before I could get numbers.

2 Greater scaup left in 3rd lake. Although for about 20 minutes I thought they were Lesser. The head was round after they began driving. Before diving it was pointed like the lesser. The end of the bill did not have a heavy black point.

With no sunlight what are other good clues to look for in deciding between these two?

Stephen Stewart Rome
