Greetings O wise SAS wizards:

I have been tasked with coming up with some strategies RE optimal placement of the above (soon to arrive) two SAS products. For those who have traveled down this path already.....what have you learned both good and bad?

The local environment is SAS on the desktop and on capable HPUX hardware.

Some of my questions include:

(1) minimal desktop machine (not SAS party-line minimum) including CPU and RAM

(2) can/should data miner be 'served'? If so.....any demand for minimum amount of personal workspace on the HPUX machine?

(3) what other anectdotal 'thrills and spills' could you pass along?

TIA!
