|Subject: ||SAS/ACCESS to ORACLE|
I've one question. I need to extract some data from ORACLE database.
I've installed and licensed SAS/ACCESS to ORACLE but cannot build
connection between SAS and ORACLE. When i try example like this
connect to oracle (user=sas orapw=sas path='@LON');
i get these error messages in the log window
1 proc sql;
2 connect to oracle (user=sas orapw=XXX path='@LON');
ERROR: Cannot find some Oracle Required Support Files in the search path
The SAS/ACCESS Interface to ORACLE cannot be loaded. The SASORA code
appendage could not be
ERROR: Engine entry array is invalid.
ERROR: A Connection to the ORACLE DBMS is not currently supported, or is not
NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
NOTE: The PROCEDURE SQL used 0.51 seconds.
Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Here are some closer informations
Windows NT 4
SAS v. 6.12
licensed SAS/ACCESS to ORACLE
ORACLE server 7 (8 tested too with same result)
ORACLE client 7 (8 tested too with same result)
Please help me, it is VERY IMPORTANT for me ...
Which ORACLE components have to be installed (maybe i missed one)?
Is there any cookbook about setting up SAS with ORACLE?
