I am seeking stories (strange, humorous or otherwise) about working at
home or telecommuting, particularly as they relate to SAS programming or
consulting. The reason is that I am preparing a presentation for CONSUG
@ NESUG '98 entitled, "Working at Home, Working at the Client's Office:
How DO They Compare?" I plan to cover the physical setup in one's home
office and issues such as "how did you convince your employer or client
to allow you to work at home."
For those who may interested in this subject, the presentation is
scheduled for 11 am. on Sunday morning, Oct 4, 1998. If you are
planning to attend NESUG in Pittsburgh, you may be interested in also
attending the CONSUG meeting on Sunday morning. Also, last time I
looked, there was a paper planned for NESUG entitled, "Telecommuting:
The Workplace of the 90's" which may also be of interest. The paper is
by Thalene Mallus of the National Institute of Mental Health.
