Subject: Re: Why advertise SAS jobs here?

Hi!
The message below was a superb reply to the person who questioned
the logic of advertising SAS jobs on the SAS-L discussion list. Such
people forget that each time one sends a message to the list he or
she does that in good faith but instead gets messages that say
"remove me from this list ,etc.." Did these people join the list
under some kind of influence or duress? It is high time they left the
list before contaminating other people's minds!
Yours sincerely,

I am a skilled SAS professional with many years of experience. While I find
this news group useful for technical information, I also find it an excellent
source for information on professional opportunities in my field. Other job
sites do not specialize in SAS positions and I would rather go to a site where
I can get this information filtered for me. What a better place to match up
employer's and professional in SAS then a SAS news group. In addition, you
can't compare this to nussiances like advertisements on things for sale. If
you don't like this job postings, simply don't read them. They are always
clearly titled as job opportunities. I have to wonder what your agenda be if
you don't like these postings?
