I have been asked by a colleague if it is ok to use semicolons
as field delimiters in external files which will be read in
using a SAS application.
I think that this is possible but should he/she use some other
character for example a comma, to avoid possible problems
or confusion since SAS uses the semicolon as end of statement indicator.
