Subject: Exporting TIFF files - Which device driver?
Comments: To: SAS-L <SAS-L@VM121.akh-wien.ac.at>

The printer for a publication I'm putting together has asked that I send all figures as TIFF files. There are 170 figures, all line graphs created using GPLOT in SAS/GRAPH. I'm using SAS/WIN95 6.12 TS045. I usually work with EPS files, and have never created TIFF files. The catalog lists the following graphics drivers. I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding which driver I should use.

IMGTIFB Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--Uncompressed 10/17/96 IMGTIFG3 Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--CCITT Group 3 10/17/96 IMGTIFG4 Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--CCITT Group 4 10/17/96

TIFFB Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--Compressed 10/17/96 TIFFBII Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--II byte order 10/17/96 TIFFBMM Tag Image File Fmt--B/W--MM byte order 10/17/96

I'm currently using the following goptions:

goptions reset=all gunit=pct ftext=hwpsl009 /* helvetica */ htitle=4.0 htext=&txt_ht noprompt rotate=portrait horigin=1in vorigin=0.5in vsize=8.0cm hsize=8.0cm device=pslepsf gsfname=grfout gsfmode=replace ;

Thanks Paul Dickman
