Subject:   Re: Need of advice for National Characters in an International Database

From CT Chase I got :

"Why not create a new font, with all the characters you need, assigning the hungarian etc to previously non-printing ascii values. Then when the appropriate country data is read in you translate the national character to your new ascii value, so it will be currectly printed?"

Thank you CT Chase, certainly it is a good idea since even after modifying my windows nt4 registry according to TS564 which provides me with the full 850 codepage as I understood, I still have some more characters which do not display-print (export) correctly. In TS564 SAS claims that all these problems will be resolved with version 7. We are confident to SAS as always.. aren't we ?

Nick
