Subject:   Tracking access to data on UNIX and SAS 6.12

I would like to know if anyone has had any experiance in tracking SAS data access under UNIX and SAS 6.12.

We are being required to track data access (user, time, program name) for some of our data systems.

We are running Sun Solaris 2.5 SAS 6.12

Most work is done in batch mode with some interactive.

I am looking at both system level and SAS level alternatives. Since this is a SAS based group SAS solutions are requested.

If you have any suggestions, or things that you have done please let me know. If necessary I will post a summary to the list serv.

Thank you. Charles Burchill burchil@cc.umanitoba.ca
