Randy, this was widely publicised throughout last year. Subscribers to
Observations got at least two mailings about it, and I'm sure that I *did*
hear mention of it (and argument about it!) in San Diego. You will not have
lost any money, the final subcriptions went up to the last edition.
Quite a lot of people share your view; I suspect that production costs were
rising and that the alternative to going on-line would have been a
substantial price rise, which would probably have upset folk as well. The
licence fees are so high that I reckon that should have provided it free!
