Subject:      SAS/AF TEXT ENTRY QUESTION

Hello,
 
For a text entry object, when a missing value is assigned to it, a period
always appears. Is there a way to remove everything from text entry field
(leave just blank). I tried to use a format, but text entry object does not
like formats created at run-time.
