Subject: Re: SAS v6.12 Performance on NT 5.51 vs NT 4.0
Right now, I'm running SAS 6.11 under NT 3.51 on a 120 MHz Pentium
machine. Usually I have no problem running SAS and other applications
simultaneously. Once in a while, I get a message telling me that
virtual memory is low and to close some applications. I don't do a lot
of SAS/GRAPH, but it doesn't bog down very much. I don't know if
anything truly bad will happen if you try to run four or five SAS/GRAPH
programs simultaneously, but it will definitely be SLOW! We're
upgrading soon to NT 4.0 which has a much nicer user interface, which
looks a lot like Windows 95.
