The New SAS Universal ODBC driver enables you to open and query the following types of data sources from Windows 95 and Windows NT applications that support the ODBC standard:

.SAS data sets .CFO VisionTM Financial Database (FDB) files .SAS multi-dimensional database (MDDB) files .SAS catalogs .JMP® files

The SAS Universal ODBC Driver has the ability to read non-native platform SAS data and can even access remote data across the network using either the FTP or HTTP protocol.
