The Sage Publications series has a nice intro monograph:

Authors: Richard McCleary, Richard A. Hay, Jr. Title: Applied time series analysis for the social sciences Description: 331 p. : ill. ; 23 cm. Published: Beverly Hills, Calif. : Sage Publications, c1980.

Or try the ARIMA chapter of:

Author: Thomas D. Cook, Donald T. Campbell. Title: Quasi-experimentation : design & analysis issues for field settings Description: xii, 405 p. : ill. ; 23 cm. Published: Boston : Houghton Mifflin Co., c1979.
