Subject: Help with ERROR message
Content-Type: text/plain

OS : AIX SAS: 6:11

We're experimenting with putting SAS data on a cdrom file system in a Unix box. All I want to do is read the dataset from the cdrom.

When I access the dataset on the cdrom, I get the following error message:

ERROR: READ lock is not available for <dataset name>, lock held by unknown process.

There are no processes accessing this dataset other than the one that generates this error message. All permissions for directories and the dataset are set appropriately.

What am I missing here? Any insight would help.

Thanks,
