Subject: SAS - Does it stand for something?

According to the SUGI 22 presentation guidelines:

NEVER refer to the company as SAS. Instead use SAS Institute Inc. or SAS Institute, or when referencing repeatedly The Institute.

NEVER refer to the company by pronouncing each letter, as in S-A-S. Instead, the name is simply a one syllable word that rhymes with "lass".

NEVER say that SAS stands for something - SAS is not an acronym for anything.

See you in San Diego
