Subject: Clash of SAS 6.11 under NT4.0 & Schedule
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"
If I install SAS 6.11 under Windows NT4.0 workstation it will try to
automatically associate files of suffix .sc2 as SAS catalogues. This can
be turned off at the time of installation or in NT Explorer under File
types. Although if turned off, then we loose the automatic launching of
SAS by double clicking on .sc2 files.
However, files of suffix .sc2 are those calendar/schedule files used by
Microsoft Schedule + in MS Exchange. This we can't seem to turn off or
adjust this.
So far we have been unable to install & run both Schedule+ and SAS 6.11
together on one NT 4.0 machine successfully. Schedule+ seems to pick up
SAS catalogues or poke something soemwhere which means we can't run
either properly. This is crucial as we want to migrate to Office97 (and
Schedule+) this spring.
Am I being daft....or is there soemone out there who happily runs both
under NT 4.0????
Help.
