Subject:   Converting an IBM system file to PC system file
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hi everyone,

I'm a new subscriber to the list. I have some system files created in an IBM Risc system and want to work on them using SAS PC version. I tried the PROC COPY command in an UNIX system and, as was expected, it turned out that the UNIX SAS could not covert the files because they were created in a different platform. I heard that I must go back to an IBM machine and run the PROC COPY procedure. The biggest problem is that I no longer have access to the IBM mainframe where I created the files.

I have a naive thought and wonder if it's possible to convert the IBM-created files using a PC or an Unix system. Any suggestion is most appreciated.
