The LISTSERV software is certainly not mine, nor do I think that much of
this is 'proposed' - I believe it already has most/all of the capabilities
we are discussing.
The answerr to your question, Robert, is 'Reject it', I imagine - and return
it to the sender with a message listing all the acceptable keywords, at
least one of which must appear in the subject line.
This obviously illustrates one of the problems - the need for an exhaustive
set of keywords. I guess there might be one like 'SAS-L-ADMIN' to cope with
messages like this one - but it would be a nightmare trying to produce a
workable list, and we would almost certainly end up with some sort of 'MISC'
nightmare category!
I still reckon the simplest solution is just regular exhortations of the
SAS-L members to produce at least 'useful' Subject lines.
