Subject: Re: SAS books?

There are a bunch of outstanding books for the new SAS user. Some have been published by SAS Institute under its Books By Users Program; others are available from SIs publications division (in the USA, toll-free at 1-800-727-3228) but have been published by other companies.

Here is a not-intended-to-be-all inclusive-list of books you may want to obtain:

a) "The Little SAS Book" (Delwiche and Slaughter) b) "Mastering the SAS System" (Jaffe) c) "SAS Applications Programming: A Gentle Introduction" (DiIorio) d) "SAS Programming by Example" (Cody and Pass) e) "The SAS Workbook" (Cody) f) "The SAS Workbook Solutions" (Cody)

Also, if you intend to be using SAS System statistical procedures for data analysis, you may also want to consider:

g) "Applied Statistics and the SAS Programming Language" 3rd ed. (Cody & Smith) h) "A Quick Start to Data Analysis With SAS" (DiIorio and Hardy)

Hope this helps! **************************************** Andrew H.
