Subject:      Reading a SAS file

Hello,

Someone gave me a file who is supposed to be a SAS file. However, when a try:

libname tranfile 'addedvar.ssd';

i obtain an error message.

Using the Unix command more, i imagine that my file come from a version 6.03 SAS for DOS:

============================================================================= SAS 6.03 IBMPC DOS OLD ADDEDVARDATA z`4sY: ;p LOPNR DELIV10 czV+ DELIV11 czV DELIV13 czV DELIV28 czV ,@p?p?=@p?p?W@@@D@p?p?p?J@@p?p?P@p?p?p?@R@@V@X@@p?p?Q@@Z@p?p?@Q@\@

and so on... ===========================================================================

iI'm using SAS for Unix version 6.10. I think that our version is complete. I hope that this question is not too trivial, but i'm really in big trouble with that file and any help will be really appreciated.

Note: I can't use DBMS/COPY.

Thanks for help! Pierre Duchesne duchesne@ere.umontreal.ca
