Tim, the fact that it was transmitted as plain ASCII text obviously does not mean that it could not be UUDECODEd (perhaps automatically, by mailer software) into a WinWord file (which obviously could contain any WinWord virus) or, come to that, any sort of executable which could contain any sort of virus.
