Hello SAS-Lers,
I am stuck will strange behavior that suddenly started occurring in
a program that I have been working on and running sucessfully many
times over the last several days. I have reported it to SI Tech.
Support and am awaiting a follow-up but since my work is halted I
thought if anyone has also had this happen then maybe I could get
going again this afternoon.
I am executing a program in 6.11 on my Windows 3.11 machine that
uses data on my SunOS UNIX machine through remote library services.
The program is a series of AF objects containing submit blocks with
SAS/GRAPH code. The goptions and a first gplot execute OK but on the
second gplot I get:
ERROR: Access Violation (80000602)
ERROR: A severe error occurred in task GPLOT for module SASXGSUB
executing in module SASXGSUB at accress 00012A93.
Please contact Technical Support to report this error.
After this the program continues executing another gplot. One time
I got the same error in the second gplot and three times it executed OK.
I then executed a datastep using DSGI code and got:
ERROR: Float stack check (80000602)
ERROR: A severe error occurred in task DATASTEP for module SASXGSUB
executing in module SASXGSUB at address 00010689.
ERROR: Float stack check (80000602)
ERROR: A severe error occurred in task DATASTEP for module SASHOST
executing in module SASHOST at address 0004E44B.
The computer then freezes up and I may not even be able to move the
mouse cursor. One of the four time I couldn't even do a cntl-alt-del
to reboot and had to power down-up.
I couldn't get to the SI web page to browse the SAS Notes on this
problem.
Has anyone else had an experience like this? What should I try to
fix this up?
