This may seem strange, but it is absolutely true. You see, the setinit
password is encoded using the byte count (and I suspect other info)
from your entire setinit program. Thus, a typo anywhere in this code
results in an invalid password message. Of course, it could also mean
that you entered an invalid password as well ;-) Most folks save a lot of grief
by simply editing the SETINIT.SAS file as provided in the CORE\SASINST
directory (WINSAS) or other platform equivalent. Unless your licensing has
changed (added or deleted products) this SETINIT.SAS file is usually unchanged
from period to period.
