SYSTEMS ANALYST/PROGRAMMER 2

Reference: A2520

General Duties: Design, program and maintain a relational database using SAS for a large scale longitudinal survey of cognitive performance and dementia in the elderly. Develop and maintain data entry screens, database utilities and menu driven report generators. Collaborate with medical researchers and statisticians, summarizing data and performing standard analyses.

Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience as a Systems Analyst/Programmer 1 or equivalent education/experience.

To be considered, you must meet the following additional requirements. You must respond to these in your application materials.

Additional Requirements: Experience with SAS including Base SAS, SAS AF, SAS SCL, SAS FSP, SAS Stat, macros and experience maintaining large interactive relational databases on SAS. Experience with UNIX operating system on Sun workstations. Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team with programmers, statisticians and researchers.

Desirable: Experience with UNIX operating system on Sun workstations. Experience with SAS Graph. Experience with S-Plus. Experience with PC and Macintosh hardware and software.

Combined Eligible List: For this classification, all eligible applicants may be placed on one combined list. A five percent increase will be added to the evaluation scores of permanent, Classified UW employees.

Salary Range: $2,335 - 2,980
