You may want to try increasing the special workspace memory limit
on SPSS for Windows. This can be done by selecting EDIT -
PREFERENCES. The default is 512k. Try it at 2500 and see what
happens. That is essentially what your UNIX command is doing. If
you want to run the program in batch (as you are in UNIX), /m2500
is the switch (I think)! The switches are described in the Users
Guide for the Windows product.
